2026 New York Photography Awards Calling for Entries Now

Professional, amateur, and student photographers worldwide are invited to enter images and series for cash prizes and international recognition.

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The 2026 New York Photography Awards opens its global call for entries today in search of those images: photographs that preserve what may otherwise be forgotten, reveal what has gone unnoticed, or transform a familiar subject through a distinct point of view.

Organized by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the competition accepts commissioned, published, unpublished and personal submissions created between 2021 and 2026. Entries may be submitted as individual images or series comprising two to eight photographs.

A Platform for Different Perspectives
A photograph does not need an elaborate production or an established name behind it to make an impact. It may begin with a split-second decision, an unexpected alignment of light and subject, or the patience to remain when everyone else has moved on.

The 2026 competition recognizes work across New York Photography, Advertising, Architecture, Black & White, Commercial, Editorial, Fashion, Film, Fine Art, Minimalist, Nature, People, and Special Category Photography.

Entries will be evaluated through a blind judging process by an international jury, with identifying information removed to support fair and impartial assessment.

From Recognition to Lasting Visibility
The 2026 New York Photographer of the Year in the Professional division will receive a $3,000 cash prize and the New York Photography Awards statuette. The Amateur Photographer of the Year will receive a $2,000 cash prize and the official statuette. Category Winners of the Year will each receive a $100 cash prize.

Awarded images may also be presented through the official winner gallery, dedicated photographer profiles, media features, social media promotions, and the New York Photography Awards Virtual Exhibition. These platforms allow the photograph—and the story behind it—to remain accessible beyond the announcement of the results.

Submit to the 2026 New York Photography Awards
The Early Bird entry period runs from August 6 to September 3, 2026. Subsequent entry periods continue through the Final Extension Deadline on November 25, 2026, with winners to be announced on December 11, 2026.
